Applications will be accepted until AUGUST 20.

Complete the application form (to download, click here) and submit the following documents:

  • Official college/university transcripts
  • Resume
  • A professional autobiography that explains why you are interested in becoming a teacher (2-4 pages)
  • Three letters of reference documenting relevant life/work/education experience
  • Two written assignments

Assignment #1 - Write an essay (2-4 pages) that describes a situation in which you interacted with other people in a helping or teaching role. The event does not need to be a formal teaching situation. Address the following in your essay: Describe the situation as it occurred at the time. What did you do in that particular situation? How did you feel about the situation at the time you were experiencing it? How do you feel about the situation now? What would you change, if anything?

Assignment #2 - Describe your favorite teacher (1-2 pages). Be sure to address the following questions in your essay: What characteristics come to mind when you think about your favorite teacher? Describe a specific event that stands out in your mind that happened with that teacher. • An interview will be scheduled upon receipt of all application materials.
